I am back from Vancouver! It was beautiful, it was expensive, and I want to go back!
The weather was phenomenal, hardly any humidity and the temperatures were in the low seventies. When I arrived back in Michigan on Saturday it was like walking into a wall of humidity, blah!
This was the first vacation I’ve had in years and probably will be the last for at least a few more. My boyfriend’s parents spent a fortune on it for us, they paid for the hotel, plane tickets, several meals, and gave us spending money. They tried to pay our way into some of the excursions, but we insisted on at least paying for those. On the last day, we even had $100 in Canadian left and gave it back to his parents.
I haven’t sat down to assess the damage of what we did end up paying for yet, it is my plan for the weekend.
We ended up doing so many things:
- Visited Whistler/Blackcomb, where the Olympics were.
- Whale Watching, have phenomenal video that I may post later.
- Stanley Park
- Dr. Sun-Yat Sen’s Chinese Garden
- Fort Langley, the birth place of British Columbia, and
- Capilano Park
I am gushing about the trip now, but I may change my tune, next week when I see how much money we spent. eek! I don’t think it will be pretty.
