Planning the Reception

Today we meet with the Kellogg Center on planning our reception dinner.

I can’t wait, but not because I am excited about planning out the “party”. No, dorky me is excited about planning out the expenses so I can finally know the exact amount we are paying.  Don’t get me wrong, I am excited about my wedding.  It is just that the practical me wants to have everything in place, costs added up and documented. Did I mention I am going to school to be an accountant? 🙂

This also means I can’t get the invitations ready. They are driving me nuts just sitting there waiting to be printed and stamped. I won’t send them out too early, but I would like them complete and waiting until my calendar sends me a notice that I can mail them. There are only nine invitations to be mailed.  The way I talk you’d think they were taking over half the house.

I am getting really weird in my old age!

Ha! I did think you were talking about 100’s of invitations. As I’ve mentioned before, I’m used to seeing weddings with 400 guests at a time, so I can imagine that was at least 200 invitations that had to go out.
